shooting day 1

We started the shooting on the first monday of the holidays (17.2.14). We all met round Liam's house at 3.30pm to start filming the shots in his shed; as it fitted well with the film idea we had, and how we wanted the killers lair to look. For preparation, we cleared his shed and started laying out the props, ready for filming. This helped with the mise-en-scene because it added eeriness top the shot when filmed. Teela brought some knives to Liam's, and he also added some big ones to the collection, and set them up around the shed.

Liam asked me to draw and create a book which looks like a killer has been working in so I drew killings, techniques a killer would use to kill, and we stuck some headlines from papers in it too, along with a birth certificate with the details of the detective.

To shoot the shots we started filming with a torch Teela brought along but it soon died so we had to reshoot 12 shots to avoid any colour alterations the lighting created. The camera also died a lot of times, and we had to end up going to buy more so try and complete the filming. After all the batteries were changed we managed to film all the shots we needed.
